How To DIY Makeover Your Dining Table
STEP 1
For a timber dining table, sand the surface of the table using a sanding block with sandpaper. This will help you find out what's under the top coat. However, if you can't strip it back, that means that the table needs to be painted over
STEP 2
Using a paint brush and paint roller, paint the undercoat all over the table. This will seal up the odd lacquer and stain, and help the topcoat stick well
STEP 3
Once the cover stain is completely dried, lightly sand the table using the sanding block
STEP 4
Using the QTech HVLP gun, spray the top coat onto the table in a side-to-side motion
How To DIY Makeover Your Dining Chairs
STEP 1
Unscrew the base using a screwdriver, removing the fabric and the foam pad
STEP 2
Lightly sand the chairs before painting over them with an under coat
STEP 3
Using the QTech HVLP gun, spray the chairs with top coat
How To Upholster The Seat Base
STEP 1
To makeover the seat pads, cut out your chosen fabric. Ensure that you leave enough room to fold the fabric up around the seat base
STEP 2
To begin stapling, start at the front of the seat base. Stretch your fabric a little bit and then staple
STEP 3
Experiment with the type of folding you want around the corners of the seat base. You can go down the side of the corner then fold the fabric under, stapling it
STEP 4
Then take the outer piece of the fabric and wrap it around with some tension, before stapling it. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other corners
STEP 5
For the back corners of the seat base, fold them into a 45 degree pleat before stapling them. Continue to staple around the edges of the seat base
STEP 6
Assemble the seat base to the chair
