The time has come for another summary of all of your favourite blog posts that have gone live in the latest quarter! We have seen everything this time around, from real estate advice, feature articles from YOU and home staging advice…what more could you ask for? So…what have you been loving on the International Institute of Home Staging blog?

“Candle Care with Piper and Grace’s Fiona Thurlow”

If you have ever been to an IIHS event chances are you have met Fiona. As well as being a key part of the IIHS team she also runs her own candle company, Piper and Grace. Not only do we love Fiona’s candles but we also love her candle advice and thought it worth while sharing some of her candle knowledge. This blog is an intro into a self-proclaimed candle nerd’s brain, exploring all the do’s and don’ts of candles!

“The Working Relationship Between Home Stagers and Real Estate Agents with Damon Sellis”

Damon is a local real estate agent in Newcastle and has been kind enough to share his knowledge and experience regarding how to best work with home stagers as a real estate agent. It’s not secret that forming strong relationships with real estate agents, as a home stager, can be a long and tedious task. Damon explores how he thinks the best working relationships are formed and what you have to do, on both sides of the scale, to ensure that a long lasting working relationship between home stagers and real estate agents are formed.

“Should I Leave Marketing Material at Open Homes?”

A more traditional blog in a sense, this is a one on one chat with Naomi about the question on everyone’s lips: do I, or do I not leave marketing material at open homes? Naomi explores varying opinions, personal experience and the why’s and why not’s about leaving marketing material at properties and the pros and cons of this.

Should you leave marketing materials?

“Home Stager of the Month – The Styling Project”

At IIHS we love showcasing our IIHS members and the awesome home staging work they are doing in their local area.
