First Impressions Count

May 27, 2013 by Naomi

Front doors and back doors reveal your personal style and who you are to the word. Whether your style is traditional, modern, country, architectural or just out of this world stylish, your front door will make it known to every guest that comes to visit. It is the first introduction that guests have to your style and it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg.

Don’t ignore your entrance way!

Once guest’s make it through your door you should ensure they are welcomed into an inviting, comforting and promising hall/entrance way. Usually your entrance area is small and guests aren’t paying much attention because they rushing to reach the entertaining area, but don’t neglect your entrance way it is the perfect place to make a dramatic statement, without emptying your savings account. It can be the perfect place for a gorgeous console table to store you mail and keys on, a great place to hang up all the family photos, an architectural wow piece or all of the above!

Don’t ignore your entrance way!

Just remember when making your dramatic statement, usually all rooms follow off from the entrance way so make sure when choosing a colour scheme for your hall it won’t clash with the colours of the rooms leading off it. No point having a beautiful grey entrance way but being able to see the bright pink bedrooms off it.

Don’t ignore your entrance way!

Create a great first impression and you will constantly have visitors (Jealous ones at that!)
